Honey Creek Animal Hospital

Excellent care for our animals by Dr Staub and staff for many years.

This is a picture before and picture after . I think she may have tooken a fall she wasn’t showing signs of pain but could def tell there was something wrong due to her not walking and just sleeping loosing weight due to that , my only option in my area was honey creek , which is crazy because they don’t do pain medication. But anyway so I get a vet appt scheduled take her there he exams her said it’s either pelvic injury or a virus that kills them . We was sure it was pelvic because she had taken a fall , no X-rays were done but offered he pretty much said it would be a waste to do an xray cause they won’t be able to see anything of the pelvic if there was something broken, the way he lifted and picked her up there was no support of her back end and then he’s was squeezing the toes to make sure there was feeling , there was and she was reacting turning back at him. Didn’t think anything of it but I handled her very gently if I had to , bed rest but I always supported her whole body GENTLY , fast forward I bring her home all day she’s gabbing , this swilling thing , still didn’t think anything of it , then next day I notice she’s continuously doing it and then the tip of her tough is grey like she has been accidentally bitting her tough , so I call to get pain medication figured out I was told call excotic which I did they were gonna assist with pain medication, this was yesterday . Last night I came home to her dead ! Very heart breaking I only had her a month and half . I’ve done research on pelvic break or injury and as long and u put them on strict bed rest no handling unless absolutely have to and make sure she’s getting her food and hydrating on top of the aid care I was using . She hadn’t pooped since leave the vet when she passed half of her poop was hanging out of her private . I’ve seen comments about people pets dying shortly after leaving the vet . Idk if he handled her to hard but the day she came home from vet constant pain and died 2 days later . If I could of got her weight up and didn’t have to take her I feel like she probably still be here, she showed no signed of pain before I took her just looked ill, like the before pic

As a cat owner seeing this for the first time on my 13-year old Loki boy (especially when it straight up full on the floor right in front of me in one entire terrifying piece) they reassured me it was called tooth resporption, it was normal, he wasn't on death's doorstep, and he just needed antibiotics. Whew! That whole emergency dental trip only cost us $100 and was scheduled the next day, so it was convenient, everyone there is compassionate about community cats and animal welfare, their "front desk attendant" is the cutest and softest, and the whole experience was easy peasy. I even got gabapentin so he won't yodel the whole way there next time 😅. He was back to his normal bright-eyed cuddly velcro self after his card. Definitely establishing him there.

The very best veterinarian hospital I've ever been at!!! They were extremely helpful and they know what they're doing!!! Best priced veterinarian around!!!

Big thank you to Dr. Staub and his staff this morning. Unfortunately, I had to deal with a very bad situation and they were able to get my cat in and ease her pain before I lost her.
